Australia: Macquarie University, Sydney

Overview

Macquarie University, known as Australia's innovative university, is located in the heart of Australia's largest high-technology precinct and benefits from an environment of outstanding research and innovation. International students play an important role in the life of the University, with over 8,500 international students currently studying on campus within a total student population of 40,000. Macquarie University offers academic internships for credit to qualified students. Academic disciplines include majors such as economics, international business, communication, media, early childhood education, psychology, engineering, and more.

 
Location

Located in North Ryde, one of Australia's leading high-technology parks, the 125-hectare campus is located eighteen kilometers northwest of downtown Sydney center.

 
CCIS

The College Consortium for International Studies (CCIS), a partnership of colleges and universities—two and four year, large and small, public and private, domestic and foreign—encompasses the broad spectrum of international higher education. CCIS members sponsor a variety of programs, notably study abroad programs and professional development seminars for faculty and administrators, which are designed to enhance international/intercultural perspectives within the academic community.
